BROKEN CIRCLE - TESTERS NEEDED

The Broken Circle ring was designed to remember a family member, often the phrase "the Circle is broken" refers to a  family member passing.

I had this ring designed, cast and plated.  In my impatience to get this new design, I made the mistake of not testing the quality before I ordered a large quantity.
The plating wore off within a few weeks and caused untold heartache.
I tried to find a local plating company's that would do this for me, and all refused.
I replaced the sold rings with rings that were coated with a poly resin. They are thicker, hypo-allergic and have never been returned for wear.

Recently I decided to redesign the ring with the company that makes my steel rings. The new Broken Circle ring will be made in steel, have hearts on both ends and a slightly different shank. I am awaiting final revisions, BUT that is a different story.
(Oh, and also in the works is an Irish black claddagh ring (the hands holding the heart, only this will have the hands holding a broken heart) ....

While talking about the new ring, I lamented that I wished I could have found a company to replate them. He mentioned that he had a friend with a high end plating company and he would ask for a favor to see what they could do. (TY GOD)

So I sent a range of sizes to them hoping for a solution. A few weeks passed and I got a call.
First they had to remove the old finish, and then they did a magical process and applied 10 times the amount of plating that was there before.  They believe that this new finish will last for years.
I plaintively asked how much this new process would cost, and I held my breath as he told me.
It was expensive but certainly doable. He was in the process of sending me the results.
He said, have them worn and see how they wear.
Instead of wearing 10 rings on my fingers and toes, I will have them customer tested.
My daughter is hard on rings and she has opted to test 1 for me.
I am recruiting volunteers to test the ring.
Postage will be the only cost.

    This is beautiful I have been a widow since Jan.10th,2005. My soul-mate and hubby of 31 years passed on my birthday from 7 cancers from agent orange/died for us to be free and I am proud of him but I am, now and forever will be alone and to die alone is very scary but some people never had true love for a second much less 31 fantastic,fulfilling years(he was one hell-of-a man and great father to one of ours and 2 more boys I had when we met).
    Please let me get this ring it is perfect/ if I don't get to try one/then please let me purchase one from your stuff/ I am allergic to every metal except gold and I hate white gold/do you have anything at all any kind of jewelry wit yellow gold/the ring shown would probably not break me out because of what it is made of/ I was hoping/thanks so much

      Hi Cheryl,

      All the rings to be tested have been sent out and am getting the results back now.

      I know what you mean. My husband died in 2006 from cancer and when I am urged to start dating again - I just answer; "If I already had a Major League Man why would I hold tryouts in the Minor Leagues?"

      Anyway - you found our rings just at the right time.  Because I am trying to start using steel to replace the metals. I like steel because it last forever, is a part of our heritage, and is hypo-allergenic.

      I have some of The Broken Circle ring with a poly-coating on it right now -
      The new finish is not done yet and although none of the testers reported any issues- they may not be as sensitive as you. Most likely the Poly finish will work the best right now.

      ANY SURGICAL STEEL RING will be great for you.
      Most people buy the white gold look and I won't have a "gold" steel ring for a couple months.
      I am getting a new channel set ring but the color is going to be platinum. It is coming this week.

      And I am going to have a new Broken Circle ring in black steel but it is still on the drawing board. IT IS SO FANTASTIC
      {Imagine a cladaugh Irish ring with a lattice band hand where the two hands held the heart, it is a broken ring with 2 hearts reaching for each other.}

      MY STEEL RINGS:
      Right now - I have the ALWAYS IN MY HEART & SOUL spinning prayer wheel ring - and I wear that one on a steel chain.
      Also on my "pointer" finger I wear a black wedding band with a broken heart- I call it the HEART OF STEEL. {which as you know - we need a heart of steel to live without them)
      I am also going to have a Serenity Prayer steel spinning ring --- 3months
      You thought you didn't have any choices - and now .... You are going to have a tough time making up your mind which is your favorite. {which is why I am using multiple fingers  lol}

      I know it still hurts and the only help I can offer are these wonderful rings. You will be amazed how much weight they take from your heart.

      God bless sister,
      Diane
